Senior Quantity Surveyor

Senior Quantity Surveyor – Bristol
Working with a leading construction contractor, I am currently recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team. Based in or around the Bristol area, the Senior QS will have the opportunity to travel across multiple sites and projects in the region.
You will take full commercial responsibility for regional projects as large national programme, with an approximate value of £50m, allocated from award through to completion. You will maintain and maximise quality of service and profitability, while ensuring compliance with company and client standards. The role will also involve effective liaison between the Client, Designer, sub-contractors and relevant stakeholders.
Key tasks include:
• Maximise margin recovery through Clients and Subcontractors accounts.
• Create and maintain profit motivation of the team, having regard for Client/Subcontractor relations
• Optimise cash flow through external valuations and control of subcontractor accounts.
• Monitor Reserves/Work in Progress, and Subcontractors Payments
• Provide assistance to Financial Department in the recovery of outstanding monies.
• Monitor both Main Final Account and Subcontractors Final Account progress.
• Monitor and facilitate the recovery of retention and the like.
About you:
• Experience within the construction or telecommunications industries and knowledge of the relevant standards.
• Able to gain Security clearance to DV (preferred) or SC level (minimum).
• Ideally previous experience on large scale defence/MoD projects
• Ability to establish strong, collaborative working relationships
• Excellent team player
