We are committed to empower people to rebuild their lives and regain independence. The service you will work in….Hammersmith and Fulham Mental Health Accomodation Service in South Cluster consists of 3 services at Edgar Wright Court, Moore Park Road and Bishop Road. We support people in enduring mental health crisis aged 18+ who have housing and support needs. They may be leaving hospital, registered care, be homeless, threatened to be homelessness or living in accommodation that is not meeting their identified needs. The services will be also used as a ‘step up' or ‘step down' from other supported accommodation, where appropriate.A day in this role looks like….As a Senior Support Worker at Hestia, you will play a crucial role in our Mental Health Service. Your contributions will directly influence the lives of our service users, guiding them towards a path of empowerment and independence.A day will never look the same and some of the things you can expect to do/be responsible for are:(Recruitment Team to use Job Description to formulate information)Empower a caseload of clients to manage their health and wellbeing, maintain their independence, identif
y their strengths and achieve their goals and aspirations, working in partnership with our subcontractors as required in order to achieve this, under the direction of the Team Leader To clearly articulate the aims and objectives, pathway and service model to people using the service so they can fully participate in and co-produce their support Empower service users to engage effectively in their liaisons with professionals within the community such as social work teams, housing providers, health professionals, JCP etc Work flexibly as part of a team to ensure service coverage and that contractual obligations are met Develop co-produced group activities, peer support networks and other community-based approaches to empowering service users to achieve their goals and aspirations and to encourage service users to access these opportunities Actively monitor the health, wellbeing, safety and security of the service and its users ensuring all concerns are followed up promptly and in line with procedures Ensure that administration is done in good time; that detailed, concise and accurate records are created contemporaneously, and that confidentiality is appropriately maintained Assist the manager to manage health and safety, repairs and maintenance of the premises To collect rents and service charges, and manage arrears proactively by follow policy, protocol and procedure to support residents to maintain their tenancy and develop independent living skills by paying service charges & rent Provide support the Manager to manage voids across the service Ensure referrals, assessments and service reviews are effective and timely Empower service users to develop independent living skills as part of a planned move on process Why Hestia?Joining Hestia means more than just a job; it's an opportunity to be part of something bigger. To excel in this role, you should possess:At least two year's relevant experience providing support services to vulnerable individuals.A good understanding of the regulatory framework relevant to the provision of housing services for young people.Knowledge of innovative best and emerging practice in supported accommodation provision.Understanding and knowledge of relevant workplace legislation and associated duties including but not limited to those relating to Health & Safety.Understanding and knowledge of relevant policies and proceduresExcellent interpersonal skills and relationship management skills.​Excellent written and verbal communication skills including conflict resolution skills​.Financial and budgeting skills​.Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding issues and ability to address them appropriately. ​Housing management knowledge.Welfare and Benefit knowledgeStrong supporting role to assist Team Manager to monitor the performance of servicesGood time management and able to timely complete tasksGood communication skills to internal and external parties. Our commitment to Equality, Diversity, and InclusionOur services users come from all walks of life and so do we.
