As the Senior Research & Development Engineer, you will drive innovative product design, manage project timelines, mentor engineers, and ensure compliance with safety and diversity standards.

The responsibilities of the Senior Research & Development Engineer will include:

• Lead product design and management, ensuring adherence to sound engineering practices such as Design for Manufacture & Risk Management.
• Oversee outsourced work with suppliers and subcontractors while seeking continuous improvement in design processes.
• Supervise mechanical analysis, development, and CAD documentation, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
• Manage engineering change projects and lead project teams to timely, budgeted, and scoped completion.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to a small team of Engineers, fostering a positive work culture and adherence to safety and diversity policies.

Requirements:

• Clear experience in engineering, managing high-value projects, delivering on time and budget, collaborating with subcontractors, and leading engineering change processes.
• Strong communication, self-motivated, adept at multitasking, and comfortable with team or autonomous work.
• Proficient in project management, leading junior engineers, technical report writing, applied physics, and excellent communication and analytical abilities.

What this is offering:

• A salary range of GBP40,000 - GBP45,000
