The University of Warwick is seeking to recruit a Senior Research Software Engineer to enhance its research computing support for the Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences.
As part of an established Research Software Engineering team, you will work collaboratively with researchers to enhance the quality and sustainability of Research Software and its associated data, tools and infrastructure. You will also engage with the wider research computing and Research Software Engineering community both within the university and beyond.

As an experienced Research Software Engineer, you will have expert knowledge of at least one programming language and a working knowledge of several others. You will also have broader experience of working with Research Software technologies, for example web development and data munging; Linux computing environments and open source software; databases; machine learning; and/or data science.
The role is based within the university’s central Research Computing division which sits within Warwick’s Research Technology Platforms (RTPs). The RTPs are an integrated network of world-class research technologies including the infrastructure, people and expertise necessary to enable internationality excellent research. The RTPs are also central to Warwick’s commitment to investing in the careers of its technical staff, having recently launched a promotional pathway pilot for Research Technical Professionals.
