About the role The School of Sport and Exercise Science is looking to recruit a fixed-term researcher to support the delivery of an externally funded research project in COVID-19/Long COVID. You will support the project chief investigator and be responsible for data collection and day-to-day management and delivery of the project, which includes liaising and working closely with project partners. The key focus for this post will be to work alongside clinical teams to determine the effectiveness of an anti-viral drug that is administered intravenously Long COVID patients and the impact of their symptoms/pathophysiology. The research will quantify changes via detailed screening and symptom reporting, cardiopulmonary exercise testing (inclusive of ECG and blood pressure) and a detailed pre and post-testing and intervention biochemical profile.
