As a Senior Rights Data Operations Executive you will perform business and data analysis to support and improve upon processes using data visualization tools, and support management of content agreements (acquired and commissioned content) for utilisation on Sky services and platforms. This means both creating new deals as well as amending existing deals, ensuring the rights are captured correctly in our rights management systems (BSS and RightsLogic) and address rights related queries and requests from the business including Acquisitions, Finance, Scheduling, Programme Planning and Media Management.
What you'll do
  • Represent Rights Ops team with Engineering and Project teams to ensure business objectives and user needs are accurately understood and implemented
  • Where appropriate, use more formal analysis techniques such as use case diagrams, Business Process Modelling and workflows
  • Ability to manage large volumes of data and interpret and present in summarised business facing way
  • Support the team in new deal management and interpretation of Acquired, Commissioned and/or Distribution multi-territory agreements, and capture the rights position for broadcast and distribution in the relevant RMS (Ents, Cinema, Store and Distribution)
  • Support the team in maintaining existing deals through amendments and updates as required in our rights management systems. This includes analysing and extracting relevant Rights Information from provided amendments and notifications
  • Help enable utilisation of content on Sky services and platforms
  • Generate reports from RMS when required
  • Participate in ad-hoc project work if needed, attend department meetings and intra-department meetings when required
What you’ll bring
  • Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and charts
  • Data visualization tools e.g. tableau, airtable
  • SQL, Python, Visual Basic an advantage
  • Proficient in Power Point
  • Requires an understanding of contractual terminology, media/television broadcast, production and distribution rights
  • Previous experience in media
  • Significant experience of working with databases, in particular experience with rights management systems
  • Strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, organised, conscientious, ability to use initiative and be self-motivated and proactive, strong communication skills and business acumen
  • Being a team player but also able to work independently
