Responsibilities
- Sorting/screening using a multi-parameter flow cytometer to sort and analyse desired cell populations
- Leadership of the use of high-through-put cell sorting and single cell sequencing to efficiently recover human immune cells with desirable features from complex populations of cell
- Primary immune cell culture and functional assays In terms of skills, we are looking for Scientists who have; Significant practical laboratory experience working with primary and immortalised mammalian cell lines
- Providing expert interpretation of the data, identifying innovative solutions to problems and putting forward plans for further experiments
- Communicating experimental data and key findings in a clear and concise manner to project teams
- Generating and maintaining clear experimental records
Qualifications and experience
- BSc/MSc (or equivalent) in a biology-based discipline
- Extensive experience in designing and testing multi-parameter panels for analysis and sorting
- Extensive experience with flow analysis software (e.g. FACSDiva, FlowJo)
- Experience in design and setting up Microfluidics based assays Desirable
- Immunology background
- Experience in the development of cellular and biochemical assays suitable for evaluating relevant properties of drug molecules under development
