About the Trust

What you'll be responsible for:

• Acts in capacity of Service Desk Supervisor in their absence
• Acts as first escalation point for Service Desk Analysts particularly for technical issues
• Responsible for training staff and related training materials, particularly for technical issues
• Pro-actively contributes to increasing the number of first-time fixes performed by Service Desk
• Responsible for writing Service Desk procedures particularly technical procedures and for reports using Crystal Reports
• Responsible for contributing to Service Desk service improvement
• Responsible for ensuring Service Desk Analysts comply with all Service Desk Procedures
• Log and resolve user issues accurately and efficiently by telephone and email

You'll learn the following whilst working at the trust:

1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

You'll have the following skills/experience:

• Excellent communication skills- both verbal and written
• Microsoft office skills- Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
• Previous admin experience
• Experience of working in a customer focused environment
• Experience of Service Desk
• Working to a high level of accuracy
• Evidence of appropriately handling confidential material
• Analytical approach to problem solving in operational and project related activities

This role may require you to show evidence of education at Degree level or at least 2 years relevant experience.
