Remarkable Jobs are currently working with an established construction company, who are seeking a “Senior Site Manager - Civils” to join their team.
For this ‘Senior Site Manager - Civils’ position the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the groundworks and civils aspect of the build. The role requires an experienced manager to work closely with supply chain, i.e Groundworks and Piling operations.
‘Senior Site Manager - Civils’ Main Responsibilities:
- Ensure all works comply to relevant specifications and drawings
- Follow the method statement produced for each element within the project and oversee the work to ensure that the work is executed safely.
- Organize the activity of different sub-contractors and trades
- Deliver short term programmes to allow the planning, execution and monitoring of the works compared against the contract programme ensure all programmes plans, method statements and risk assessments are up to date.
- Inspect the works as required, while ensuring all safety initiatives are adhered to
- Produce and maintain project records
- Understand each specialist sub-contractor’s order/responsibilities. Ensure works are executed safely in accordance with agreed methodology.
- Produce short term programmes to allow the planning, execution and monitoring of the works compared against the contract programme ensure all programmes plans, method statements and risk assessments are up to date, understood
‘Senior Site Manager - Civils’ Key Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
- Degree educated or equivalent in a Construction or Engineering related subject.
- Ideally 10+ years of Site Management experience in Civil Engineering
- Have a technical knowledge/background working on complex projects
- NVQ Level 4 Site Management would be an advantage
- SMSTS- CSCS Black management Card,
- NVQ Level 6
- First Aide 3 Day course,
- Good understanding of construction methods and technology.
- Strong IT skills.
