The outcome of the council's Total Pay and Reward review means the full-time salary for this position from 1 st April 2024 will be £48,474 to £51,515. The salary will be pro rata for part time and term time vacancies.
We are looking for an experienced Social Worker for a secondment opportunity within the Futures+ Team. This post is a vital role in the Futures Plus team, which is a dedicated learning disability, Autism and Preparing for Adulthood team. This secondment is to cover maternity leave and will end on the 31 May 2024. The role is based within the Preparing for Adulthood Hub although there will be times when cover is required for the Community Inclusion Hub, which will support maintance of skills focussed on working with Adults.
Knowledge of local servcies, policy and proceess underpinning Preparing for Adulthood are essential requirements in the successful candidate.
Futures plus hold cases across the East Riding and oversee many service users placed out of county. There is frequently complexity and multiple diagnoses requiring clear leadership to enable
safe caseloads, management of allocations and as the liaison between the senior leadership team and the workforce. The Senior Social Worker deputises on behalf of the team manager and is a key link in the multiagency working arrangements that are central to effective working with this group of people. This role also hold supervisory responsibility for social work staff and supports the day to day management of the team alongside holding a small caseload of the most complex cases.
Additionally the successful candiate will support with funding requests, new contacts and the overall performance of the team. Working in partnership with the Community Inclusion Hub Senior Social Worker and the team manager to ensure that the team is safe and well led.
