Senior Social Worker - Children

We are currently working with a variety of authorities across Essex who are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. They are looking for dedicated, experienced, and passionate individuals to join a Child Protection Team as Senior Social Workers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage complex child protection cases, ensuring the safety and well-being of children at risk.
• Conduct thorough assessments and create comprehensive care plans in collaboration with children, families, and other professionals.
• Provide expert guidance and support to less experienced Social Workers and team members.
• Engage in multi-agency working to ensure coordinated and effective interventions
• Attend and contribute to child protection conferences, court proceedings, and other relevant meetings.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date case records in compliance with statutory and departmental requirements.
• Participate in reflective supervision sessions, team meetings, and ongoing professional development.

As this is a statutory role you are required to have a Social Work qualification and full registration to SWE.
