Tech stack includes: Kotlin, Kafka, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, AWS and more!

I'm looking for a Senior Software Engineer with experience using Java, Microservices, AWS and Kafka… as they have moved over to this due to handling huge amounts of data with their software that support investment banks all around the world.

About The Role:

You'll be joining a team of 6 Software Engineers, alongside a lead Software Engineer and product manager to design and develop high quality software with high amounts of reliability and scalability using modern technologies.

As a Senior engineer, you'll be others in the team and share knowledge to support team mates. There will be lots of opportunity to progress your career within the business if you are looking for that too!

Their software processes 100,000's requests and they are looking to enhance and advance their current product so have invested in big data & cloud native technologies - so we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with knowledge and experience of Kafka and Java AND/OR Kotlin. They're on a journey migrating from Java over to Kotlin currently, and are on track to be there this year so it's a really exciting time to join them and bring your expertise.

Experience needed:

• Excellent experience designing, developing and maintain high quality software applications in either Java or Kotlin, Spring boot, React/Typescript
• Experience working with Kafka or KStreams, KafkaConnect (RabbitMQ and ActiveMQ or similar streaming technologies will also be considered)
• Experienced working alongside a product manager
• Experienced working within an Agile environment
• Ability to design and develop microservices architecture
