Senior Software Engineer

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent.

Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 Depending on Experience.

About The Role:

The company have offices in Milton Keynes & Preston. Ideally any candidate would be located near to one of these offices, although this is not essential. Hybrid working between home and the office is a workable solution.

Ideally this is a permanent position, however we would also consider this work on a contractor basis.

The Role Includes:

• Support, configuration, and development of products that form part of a management system and user interfaces for printing press machines and other industrial applications. 
• Configuration and support of databases running on Windows PCs and servers running software developed in Visual Studio .net.
• Remote support of existing customers.

Candidate Requirements:

• Degree/HND in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant equivalent.

• Minimum two years of experience

• Good communication skills – to understand and document customer needs.
• Microsoft SQL. Able to set up, write scripts and store procedures and analyze database information.
• Microsoft SQL Reporting Services – able to create and modify reports.
• Familiarity with the practical application of SQL databases.
• Software test and debugging – testing, diagnosing, and resolving faults within existing software.
• Visual Studio (Visual Basic and C#) – able to modify, adapt and develop software.
• Good general IT skills using Windows Server 2019/2022 and Windows 11 OS.
