Role Overview:

We are looking to hire an enthusiastic Senior Software developer for our R&D software development department. The group supports a wide variety of software (Desktop/ Mobile/ Web) that communicate with our industrial automation hardware and provide our users with a rich, modern environment to setup & diagnose our products.

The successful candidate will join a team of 8 in-house developers, a fast-paced development environment meaning you can be developing rich Xamarin screens for our mobile app then debugging low level communication channels.

The successful candidate s main responsibilities will include:

• Developing tooling on desktop/ mobile and web platforms to be used with our industrial automation equipment. Typical applications will include setup and monitoring tools as well as development of programming IDEs to be used by our customers for motion control applications.
• Work as part of a team within our R&D group to propose, implement and review new designs and code for user interfaces and backend software components.
• Write clean, efficient, and effective code.
• Contribute to the test plans and write test cases for nightly automated runs as well as working with the independent test group to correct any problems.

Essential Skills

• C#, WPF, .NET
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, you will be working within cross functional teams to align development activities across the business.
• An enthusiasm for software development with a desire to work in a team of developers to ensure products are implemented and proved to work well through review and test.
• The ability to lead key software projects and help develop junior engineers in leading by example, developing talent is key to our success.

Desirable Skills

• Xamarin, ASP.NET, MVC, C++
• Python, PowerShell
• Azure DevOps, TFS
• HTML technologies such as Ionic, Blazor.
• Previous experience working in electronics, commination with hardware and custom protocols.
