As a Senior Solution Architect, you'll provide leadership across key aspects of delivery from initiation up through design and into delivery and beyond. You'll be the leading design authority for a Lab or group of products and possess expert knowledge of multiple applications, technologies and business processes across a number of Platform domains. You'll be a role model, mentor and line manager within the programme delivery community.
What will you do?
Lead a team of Architects and Engineers, cultivating collaboration through their extensive expertise and influence.
Deliver the best technical solutions for complex or significant business needs, where no precedent may exist.
Ensure compliance with the Banks IT architecture design with all regulatory, mandatory and statutory requirements, ensuring the Bank is protected at all times.
Run and chair technical design meetings to achieve purposeful outcomes.
Participate in risk management, using it to influence change planning and delivery.
Work to ensure alignment across the various delivery teams within the organisation.

What we need from you:
We need a leader in Solution Architecture who knows and understands the challenges of modern software development in a complex Enterprise. You'll build a compelling and powerful image of where we're heading to from an architecture and design perspective.
You'll understand technology implications for people and process, and will bring this to your holistic view of design. You'll ideally have previous career experience in software engineering or Solution Architecture and will be well placed to define and sell your vision for Engineers, Architects, and Product Owners alike.
We're looking for someone who can provide evidence of their:
Experience of Solution Architecture, including working with complex Enterprise platforms
Ability to drive complex negotiations to gain agreement from senior stakeholders
Ability to see the big picture and translate Business priorities into technical solutions
Line management of technical resources
Understanding of risk management concepts and how to factor this into work prioritisation models
Strong understanding of and experience of working with Enterprise Architecture principles and strategy
Strong understanding of building applications through containerised microservices-based architectures, with a working-to-strong understanding of cloud methodologies
Experience of risk, infrastructure, resilience and security architecture practices and concerns
Active involvement in architecture and design governance
