Senior SPH Software Development Engineer (m/f/d)

Our client, located near Shanghai, China, offers a range of software and hardware systems, as well as SAAS services, for product lifecycle collaboration. Their expertise spans across R&D engineering, digital design, and intelligent manufacturing, where they are now looking to expand their team. This position is ideal for those with a strong background in SPH Software Development and a passion for contributing to cutting-edge engineering solutions.
The role commences in 2025, requiring an initial three-month period onsite in China, followed by flexible or remote work options. An excellent salary and substantial housing allowance are offered, with the selection process concluding in May 2024.
Key Responsibilities
The role focuses on the implementation, development, and maintenance of SPH software algorithms and programs, including:
- Developing solvers for particle methods, specifically Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH).
- Solutions for free surface problems.
- Working with turbulence, heat transfer, gas-liquid coupling, viscosity, and moving boundaries.
- Fluid-solid coupling.
- Integration of multi-body dynamics.
- Implementing coupled Discrete Element Method (DEM).
- Particle adaptive refinement algorithms.
- High-performance computing with MPI/GPU parallelism.
Your Profile
- The ideal candidate for this role should hold a Ph.D. in fields such as Fluid Mechanics, Aerospace, Naval Architecture, Energy and Power, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or Graphics. Ph.D. holders in closely related fields will also be considered for this position.
- At least three years of relevant professional experience
- Solid knowledge in SPH, MPS, or other meshless methods.
- Experienced in C++ for numerical computing.
- Proficiency in GPU-based particle simulation algorithms.
- Excellent team collaboration and communication skills.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional languages is advantageous.
