As the Database Product Owner, your focus will be on defining technical requirements, prioritising features, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal database performance within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and communicate a clear database vision and strategy aligned with organisational goals.
- Define and prioritise database requirements based on customer and business needs.
- Manage the database development and operations backlog, ensuring alignment with priorities.
- Ensure high product quality through quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Oversee the entire life cycle, from inception to retirement, making informed decisions for optimal performance.
- Monitor and adjust database performance, taking proactive measures to address issues.
- Control unit costs associated with the environment and engage in benchmarking exercises.
Qualifications:Essential
- Extensive experience in database administration and management.
- Knowledge of Database Management Systems: MySQL, MS SQL, MongoDB, No SQL, etc.
- Experience in database design, data modelling, SQL, backup & recovery, performance tuning, warehousing, scripting, and security.
Desirable
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., MS Certified, MongoDB Certified).
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Merge replication.
