Senior Strategic Procurement Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Strategic Procurement Manager to join our team in Stoke on Trent. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading on complex, high value contracts and tenders within the Public Sector. They will have extensive experience in dealing with very senior organisational stakeholders and managing multi-disciplinary, multi-stakeholder complex projects. The Senior Strategic Procurement Manager will be proficient in preparing, leading, and managing Public Contract Regulations2015 processes and associated documentation. Excellent supplier stakeholder management and engagement skills are essential for this role. While a CIPS qualification is preferred, it is not essential. This is a 6 month fixed term contract and offers hybrid working.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead on complex, high value contracts and tenders within the Public Sector.
- Utilize extensive Public Sector Procurement experience to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
- Engage and collaborate with very senior organisational stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide effective procurement solutions.
- Manage multi-disciplinary, multi-stakeholder complex projects, ensuring successful delivery within agreed timelines and budgets.
- Prepare, lead, and manage Public Contract Regulations2015 processes and associated documentation.
- Demonstrate excellent supplier stakeholder management and engagement skills to build strong relationships and achieve optimal outcomes.
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members, ensuring their professional development and growth.
- Successfully lead a complex procurement project across an Integrated Care System (ICS).
- Utilize knowledge and experience of conducting a competitive exercise via a nationally approved framework.
- Provide detailed feedback and reports to senior stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Project manage a complex, high value PCR procurement exercise, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in leading on complex, high value contracts and tenders within the Public Sector.
- Extensive Public Sector Procurement experience.
- Strong experience in dealing with very senior organisational stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in managing multi-disciplinary, multi-stakeholder complex projects.
- Proficiency in preparing, leading, and managing Public Contract Regulations2015 processes and associated documentation.
- Excellent supplier stakeholder management and engagement skills.
- CIPS qualification preferred but not essential.
- Ability to successfully lead a complex procurement project across an Integrated Care System (ICS).
