Senior Strategic Procurement Manager

A new role has come available for a Senior Strategic Procurement Manager based in Stoke on Trent. The role offers hybrid working with 3 days per week in the office with 2 days home working, flexible working is also available. This is a permanent position offering a salary between £50,952 - £57,249
In this role you will be responsible for the management of strategic Procurement activity and other bespoke procurement / strategic projects. You will effectively lead elements of the Strategic Procurement Team in delivery of all relevant objectives and influencing and managing customers and undertake and lead on specific projects on behalf of the Group Deputy Director / Head of Procurement for Strategic Sourcing & Special Projects. You will also be expected to produce, deliver and report on relevant savings plans associated with the individual areas of responsibility with agreed performance measures for all areas.

* Member of CIPS (Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply) Level 6 (Graduate Diploma in
* Experience of setting procurement strategies for specific projects and presenting these to stakeholders to gain their support and commitment.
* Experience of project managing Strategic Procurements and contracts, ensuring value for money, probity and the minimisation of commercial risks.
* Experience and proven track record of performance management and the delivery of annualised objectives.
* Public Sector experience , NHS experience would be ideal particularly within a Medical category.
* Experience of managing a team
