Senior Structural Engineer

Senior Structural Engineer required for our rapidly expanding client to work across the South West region and will be based in or around Bath, workign a mixture of site visits and home working. The Senior Structural Engineer will be working for a company that operate across the UK specialising in Structural Inspections supported with a Structural Design team. The Senior Structural Engineer will be a unique role that covers both Surveying and Design.

The Senior Structural Engineer will have extensive experience in structural design and surveys to join a growing dynamic business, This opportunity will suit a Senior Structural Engineer who has a passion and drive for Structural Engineering and new technologies looking to take the technical and operational lead for the regional design team. The company will fully support the Engineer to become chartered if not already and to progress their career as the company grows

Senior Structural Engineer Position Remuneration

• Up to 55k + DOE

Senior Structural Engineer Position Overview

• Delivering small to medium design projects.
• Inspection of all types of buildings and structures and the preparation of digital reports, live on site.
• Report to the Managing Director and provide progress reports.
• Provide technical support for Buildings Insurance claims, including subsidence, fire and storm damage.
• Preparation of specifications for remedial works.
• Deliver design calculations for buildings insurance claims, including subsidence, fire, impact, flooding and storm damage.
• Develop new ideas to help shape the future of the business.
• Completing site visits for residential and commercial building projects using digital technology.

Senior Structural Engineer Position Requirements

• Degree in a Civil and/or Structural Engineering discipline
• Good understanding of building structures and materials including steel, masonry, concrete and timber
• Several years' experience in structural surveys of buildings
• Proficiency in IT systems
• Several years post graduate design experience
• Chartered under the MICE or MIStructE
• Car owner and UK driving licence, able to travel to site
• Proficient in the use of AutoCad
• Industry standard structural design software such as TEDDS
