About the Role:

This role will see you working as part of the Bath-based Structural Engineering team, focusing on a diverse portfolio of projects in the UK and around the world. We're seeking creative candidates with an interest in computational techniques and a passion for staying at the forefront of industry changes, including reducing embodied carbon and adopting modern methods of construction in structural design.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Structural Engineer, Large-scale Projects, you will:

• Work independently and as part of a team, offering creative solutions.
• Produce calculations, models, reports, and presentations to an excellent standard, on time and to budget.
• Share your work for review by senior colleagues and review the work of others for quality assurance.
• Lead teams, making timely decisions, and corrective actions, fostering an atmosphere that delivers excellent work.
• Collaborate with external clients and seize opportunities to engage other internal discipline designers.
• Mentor and assist Graduates and less experienced Engineers, contributing to their professional development.
• Actively maintain an external and internal network.
• Skills & Experience:

We are looking for Senior Structural Engineer, Large-scale Projects candidates with:

• Extensive building structures design experience.
• Experience as a lead Structural Engineer on major projects.
• Broad design knowledge, using British, US, and European codes of practice.
• Proficiency in analysis software (e.g., CSC Fastrak, TEDDS, ROBOT, ETABS, SAFE) and willingness to learn new packages.
• Experience with BIM and modelling software (e.g., Revit, Rhino, Grasshopper) and adaptability to new packages.
• Chartered Membership of the ICE or IStructE with the Engineering Council UK or equivalent body.
• A relevant Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering.
• Ability to provide pastoral care to junior team members and contribute positively to a collaborative team environment.
