Senior Structural Engineer

We're currently seeking a talented Senior Structural Engineer to join our client's team at Stockton on Tees.
This full-time hybrid role offers the flexibility of some remote work.
Key Responsibilities
The Senior Structural Engineer is responsible for contributing in a senior role to the efficient and compliant delivery of all Structural Engineering design on company projects, working with and reporting to the Principal Structural Engineer and Lead Project Engineer.
The Senior Structural Engineer would work in a senior role in relation to the ensuring the technical design delivery of the Structural Engineering team comprising of Structural Engineers and BIM REVIT Structure Technicians.
The Senior Structural Engineer will also work in conjunction to the project Civil, MEP and Geotechnical Professional Engineers of grades from Graduate to Principal Engineer and the associated Senior to Junior BIM REVIT Technicians.
The Senior Structural Engineer will support the Principal Structural Engineer in coordinating and interfacing with the Lead Engineers and Architects of other Company design disciplines.
The Senior Structural Engineer will report to the Principle or Lead Structural Engineer on the project, who will work closely with the Principal Structural Engineer to ensure that the company complies with the client's technical project requirements, contribute in a senior role to day-to-day client liaisons in relation to day-to-day Structural Engineering issues and with have design responsibility for parts of the structural design works on the project.
They will also be responsible for assisting the Principal or Lead Structural Engineer in administering the structural design aspects of the contract and advising the Principal or Lead Structural Engineer in terms financial management of the parts of the structural design which they are responsible, relating to the structural team costs and performance, including dealing with continuous improvement and corrective actions as required.
The Senior Structural Engineer will generally be responsible for day-to-day engineering design support and technical mentoring of the technical Structural Engineering staff and technicians on the project. The Senior Structural Engineer will be responsible for the checking and review aspects of all Structural Engineering work in accordance with Business Management Systems/protocols and Structural Technical Reference Manuals, as delegated to by the Principal Structural Engineer as required.
Qualifications
Candidates should be degree qualified in Civil and Structural Engineering and will have preferably achieved 'Chartered Engineer' status, or as a minimum, will have all required attributes signed off and will be in the final preparations for 'Chartered' Review with a recognised professional institution.
