Role:Senior Systems Accountant

Location: Bedfordshire

Working Arrangements: Hybrid

Salary: Up to £48,000 per annum + excellent benefits package

Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for an Senior Systems Accountant to join one of our ever growing and diverse Public Sector clients in Bedfordshire. Key responsibilities of the Senior Systems Accountant:

• Support the financial systems manager in the day to day running of the systems
• Support the Systems Administrator for the Civica financial software and other related systems like iTrent and Business Objects
• Oversee, manage, review and challenge all appropriate financial and non-financial systems within the organisation
• proactively look for cross office opportunities for efficiency
• Provide training to budget holders and others in the wider organisation who need to use the systems
• Provide expert financial advice to colleagues and provide reports in relation to System Output
• Test internal processes and procedures and once confirmed to be documented.

The successful Senior Systems Accountant must have the following skills:

• Ideally be fully qualified and registered with professional accounting qualification such as CIMA, ACCA or equivalent
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to influence others
• Advanced excel skills
• Ideally experienced in using Civica Financials
• Software skills include: Excel VBA, ability to debug applications, SQL based applications, report writing from scratch including using Crystal Reports, Business Objects and Power BI.
