Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer

Salary: £52,084 - £57,344 depending on experience
What you'll be doing:
- Taking responsibility for a team of engineering staff, managing and taking responsibility for changes to FESS subsystem changes throughout the Product Lifecycle
- Capturing, managing, and implementing design changes for Aircraft Capability, System Enhancements, User Requirements etc. for the Typhoon customer aircraft maintenance software application.
- Creating an appropriate solution that serves both business and technical needs for the delivery of upgrades to the industry and customer Typhoon FESS
- Production and management of design change artefacts, including the application of Requirements Management best practice and relevant processes
- Ensuring sufficient rigor is put into requirements validation and verification, to remove technical risk
- Providing support for the full project lifecycle from requirements through to deployment and maintenance
- Ensuring that all documentation is produced and managed within a configuration-controlled manner meeting the required quality assurance process
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Proven experience of Systems Design or Software Design/Development
- Experience of using at least one full project lifecycles (Agile, V-Model, Waterfall etc.)
- Proven problem analysis and resolution skills
Desirable:
- Experience working within a military or aerospace role
- Knowledge and experience of requirements management

The FESS System Design team:
The ESS (Engineering Support System) design team, design the Typhoon maintenance software. All maintenance data from the Typhoon is recorded in the ESS and helps the customer to maintain the fleet due real time flight maintenance information being captured.
A vacancy exists for a Senior Systems Engineer to join the Ground & Training Products organisation working within the ESS Systems Design team. The successful applicant will be responsible for a team of Systems Engineers capturing requirements from multiple sources and developing designs to ensure both Industry and Customer ESS systems fully support the latest and developing standards of the Eurofighter Typhoon
