About the role:

IT Services are responsible for all aspects of information-technology support and delivery across our University, providing a first-class experience to our students, staff and other stakeholders as they pursue their studies and work both on-campus and beyond.

This is your opportunity to join our network team based in Cambridge, as a Senior Technical Analyst providing support for the University’s mission critical wired and wireless networks.  The role will involve 3rd line support for crucial network infrastructure across ARU, helping to resolve escalated incidents and service requests following appropriate fulfilment lifecycles.  As part of a small team of analysts you will also be required to assist with infrastructure upgrades, hardware refresh programs and general maintenance of the environment, as well as providing technical assistance to support IT projects.

With a degree or equivalent experience, you will have sound knowledge of working on complex network infrastructure, with demonstrable skills relating to wired networking, wireless networking and firewall security being essential.  A strong understanding of Cisco, Aruba or Palo Alto products would be highly desirable.  You will have experience working with third party support partners, the ability to accurately follow and produce technical documentation, as well as experience working to ITIL principles, such as change management.  You’ll be able to demonstrate experience of providing high quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders.  You’ll be able to work both independently and as part of a team to meet tight deadlines.  With a high degree of accuracy, you’ll be committed to maintaining and enhancing excellent standards of customer service.
