Job Description

The job entails the following day-to-day tasks, all in-line with the established and approved productions methods:

• Production and Quality Control of a large variety of buffers including purification and storage buffers, and DNA extraction reagents for internal and external customers. 
• DNA polymerase (Taq) production and Quality Control. 
• DNA polymerase (Taq) formulated ready-for-use. 
• Aliquoting/labelling of ready-to-use solutions.
• Accurate maintenance of production records
• Process improvement aligned to site goals and targets
• Stock checking
• Using appropriate equipment, including manual handling equipment.

Qualifications

• Relevant Bachelor’s degree
• Knowledge of PCR (polymerase chain reaction) / DNA cloning and sequencing
• Proven attention to detail
• Comfort following SOPs
• MS Suite software, including MS Excel. 
• Prior experience with Enterprise Resource Planning software, such as SAP, ORACLE would be an advantage
• Prior experience of Quality Management Software would be an advantage

Demonstrated strong organisational skills

• Planned process development
• Reporting Return on Investment for any developed process
