Job Description:
As a Senior Theatre Practitioner, the selected individual will be a key member of the theatre team, contributing to the efficient and effective delivery of high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include scrubbing in for surgical procedures, supporting the theatre team, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Scrubbing in and assisting during surgical procedures.
- Supporting the theatre team in maintaining a sterile environment.
- Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless surgical services.
- Monitoring and maintaining equipment and resources in the theatre.
- Providing mentorship and guidance to junior theatre staff.
- Contributing to the development and implementation of theatre policies and procedures.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and quality initiatives.
Requirements:
Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner qualification.
Extensive experience as a Theatre Practitioner with a focus on surgical procedures.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and safety.
Current registration with the relevant healthcare regulatory body.
