Senior Town Planner / Senior Planning Officer

We’re recruiting to our Development Management team which supports the growth of the city and manages development from inception to delivery. We’re a friendly and forward thinking team and we support each other.  We have a can-do approach and are always striving to improve our service.    We recognise the importance of developing a strong, robust and resilient team through learning and development. 

Alongside Development Management is the Planning Policy and Environment team which encompasses a number of individual but related specialisms all focussed on delivering a city for those wishing to live and work here.  Those specialisms include Strategic Planning, Ecology, Trees and Landscape, Urban Design, Conservation, Archaeology and Environmental Protection.

What is the job role?As a Senior Town Planner/Town Planner you will provide an efficient and effective customer focussed professional planning service to support the sustainable growth and regeneration of the City. 
Who are we looking for?Do you hold a degree in Town Planning and preferably a Post Graduate Degree or Post Graduate Diploma in Town Planning?   Are you a Member of a relevant professional body such as the RTPI or eligible for full membership?   Are you an experienced planning professional with broad planning knowledge and experience of dealing with a variety of applications?  If so, we’d love to hear from you.

A full UK driving licence is required for this post to carry out site visits around the city.
