We have an exciting opportunity to join our Highways Services Team as a Senior Traffic Signals Engineer!
The purpose of this role will be to support the Asset Management/Engineering Delivery Team Leaders with; programming, designing and implementing ATS (including MOVA and Scoot), UTMC and RTPI schemes in accordance with current bidding requirements and professional standards.
You will provide detailed advice, technical support and consult where necessary with outside bodies, including local authorities, in all aspects of Traffic Signals management.
Office location - Kingsway Depot, Luton.
Please note this role does not attract sponsorship.
About you
The successful appointment will need to have in-depth experience in developing and producing detailed designs for and managing Automatic Traffic Signal (ATS) and Urban Traffic Management & Control (UTC) installations. The post holder must have experience in procuring and site supervision of ATS and UTC installations and their auxiliary equipment.
You’ll need to be able to produce relatively complex reports, correspondence and other written material, deal effectively with a wide range of people and able to plan and organise work to meet targets and deadlines.
You will need to have a relevant qualification (e.g. BTEC, HNC/D, Degree) or equivalent experience and in-depth knowledge of LINSIG and similar signals software.
