Bennett and Game Recruitment are Currently working with a well-established Transport and Logistics company based local to the Swindon area. Due to ongoing success, they are actively seeking a Senior Transport Planner to join their team.

Our client specialises in various areas including the Automotive and FMCG sector. They are one of the longest standing Logistics companies in the UK and are rapidly expanding due to continued contract growth and development.

This is a great opportunity for a skilled and established Planner to establish themselves with a leading firm with great opportunity to progress into team leader supervisor roles.

Senior Transport PlannerPosition Overview

• Plan and coordinate efficient goods movement, optimising delivery schedules.
• Lead by example assisting Jr Planner with their workload and challenges they will face.
• Use transportation software for route planning and resource allocation.
• Communicate with internal teams to ensure seamless logistics operations.
• Monitor and track shipments, addressing issues and providing real-time updates.
• Analyse KPIs and identify process improvement opportunities.
• Maintain compliance with transportation regulations and standards.

Senior Transport PlannerPosition Requirements

• Proven experience in UK wide transport planning
• Experience in overseeing and leading teams - advantageous
• Proficiency in transportation management software and route optimisation tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Good understanding of IT systems (Excel etc)
• Knowledge of driver management - WTD, Tacho Data etc

• Salary 30k - 35k
