Hours per week: 37 - we are open to discussions about flexible working

Contract type: Permanent

About us


The Placemaking service is at the forefront of place-based planning and supporting communities in leading the changes in their local areas. Working closely with partners, the service facilitates change through engagement, joint working and creative thinking on how to improve the lives of those living, working and visiting Oxfordshire. This is a new approach for the County Council and we need enthusiastic fresh thinking individuals that understand how to make places and people thrive.


About the role


The Senior Transport Planner role is key in bringing plans for places alive. The role will oversee the assessment of a range of transport projects including option appraisal and feasibility assessments leading on the objectives of the Oxfordshire Local Transport and Connectivity Plan. The role will model how the organisation’s values and behaviours which are at the heart of everything we do. The Senior Transport Planner is key to building strong relationships with partners and key stakeholders to facilitate quality conversations about place and will understand the local area they are working with to identify and develop proposals that can be delivered on the ground.


Please note that this role does not meet the requirements needed to support in obtaining a Skilled Worker Visa


About you
