SalaryVANRATH are thrilled to be assisting one of our major Food/FMCG clients in Coleraine with the recruitment of a Senior Transport Plannerto join their expanding team.
This is a position that requires combining excellent organisational skills, people skills and multitasking skills.
The working pattern is Sunday - Thursday 2pm-10pm - This is a permanent position and the company have a fantastic reputation.
Salary
£35,000 - £38,000 per year + fantastic benefits in a modern workplace
Responsibilities:
- To plan and manage drivers and vehicles to allocated routes and loads.
- Programme and schedule orders for delivery throughout designated areas and generate relevant documentation.
- Ensure maximum use of resources in a cost-effective manner.
- Issue daily instructions to drivers and communicate nature of work.
- Minimise fuel costs and maximise driver hours.
- Focus on efficiency to maximise fleet utilisation.
- Keep up to date with current legislation regarding Road Haulage regulations.
Essential Criteria:
- Supervisory experience within a Transport department, in a high volume/turnover business.
- Significant demonstrable experience with route planning software for example: Roadnet, Paragon, or Max Optra.
- Considerable demonstrable experience with telematics software such as Teletrac, Quartix or Orbcom.
- The ability to communicate well at all levels within the business.
- Have excellent problem solving, analytic and organisational skills.
- First-rate knowledge of Microsoft Office packages with a focus on Excel.
Desirable Criteria:
- 3rd level qualification in Business or a relevant discipline.
- Transport manager CPC Road Haulage
- Proven experience using Power BI and an ability to build reports.
- Category B Licence
