Senior User Researcher
Net Zero Innovation Team

Our client is an organisation deeply committed to achieving the 2050 net-zero target. In this role, they’re looking for a User Researcher to work on a wide range of research projects around energy needs and usage.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll be joining the research and insight team at this mission-driven organisation. Reporting to the User Research Lead you’ll work alongside other mixed methods Researchers. You’ll also collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of UX, product and technical experts, as well as connect with stakeholders across the org on projects.
Day to day you’ll immerse yourself in the energy sector and help brands and organisations understand consumer behaviour and how people interact with energy-related technology. As a Senior, you’ll independently scope, plan and conduct research using a variety of methods. The majority of research by the UR (user research) team is qualitative but some experience in quantitative methods is desirable.
Projects will be varied in scope and time so could range from a few weeks to much longer-term studies over months or years.
This role is a great fit for someone passionate about energy and sustainability. Experience in the sector isn’t required but you’ll need to demonstrate the ability to work on complex problems and immerse yourself in a complicated sector or product space. Someone self-motivated who’s curious and proactive in their approach will get the most out of this exciting role.
What experience you’ll need to apply
  • Previous experience in user research.
  • Experienced in a wide range of research techniques including qualitative.
  • Knowledgeable on research methods, able to be flexible in your approach depending on the project need.
  • Good communication skills able to build good stakeholder and customer relationships as well as communicate insight well.
  • Comfortable independently delivering research.
