Job description

Description

Ciklum is looking for a Senior User Researcher to join our team full-time in the United Kingdom.

We are a leading global product engineering and digital services company that unites 4000+ seasoned professionals globally on various projects in healthcare, fintech, travel, sportswear, entertainment, and security. Ciklum delivers high-impact technology solutions to Fortune 500 and fast-growing organisations worldwide.

About the role:

As a Senior User Researcher, become a part of a cross-functional development team working for our Client.

We are looking for a Senior User Researcher to join our Product Design team in London with a proven track record of conducting influential research. As a Senior User Researcher, you will need to be able to conduct and lead research activities, integrate and deliver user insights, that help design brilliant experiences that meet our customers` needs. We recognise the pivotal role that user research plays in delivering brilliant experiences that support our customers.

You`ll represent the user research specialism alongside more junior researchers and be a part of a wider Product Design Team.

The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills, capable of articulating the benefits of User Research (UR), educating clients through effective storytelling of the research journey and results, and be comfortable educating the multidisciplinary team on research approaches and techniques, demonstrating a willingness to collaborate with various team members as needed.

So, if you have a well-established research process with measured outcomes, articulating your success and failure stories and the lessons learned from that work, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities

As a senior specialist, you probably already know what routine your job implies. But here are some highlights we believe are worth mentioning:

  • Take ownership. Feeling and acting as if you are the co-owner of the project is what makes all the difference. Go ahead and take the initiative, the responsibility, go further than the surface, – and share the success of the product
  • Push boundaries. Work with the research leadership team to develop quality standards across practice, methods and ways-of-working
  • Be a leader. Own, lead and execute all research activities, ensuring that the appropriate processes, principles, and resources are engaged to generate quality outcomes for customers and the business
  • Collaborate. We appreciate sharing thoughts, concerns, feedback and advice because it polishes our solutions. As a User Researcher, you will be in constant collaboration with product managers, designers, business analysts and engineers to ensure everyone understands and is on board with research output
  • Mentor, inspire. You’ll have the advantage of inspiring your team, sharing your experience and mentoring team members in their skills and projects
  • Communicate Champion user research across the organisation, educating, influencing, and guiding stakeholders and partners. Ensure that your team and stakeholders are appropriately supported

Requirements

  • A solid set of skills and hands-on experience in user research, with deep understanding of methodologies and processes. 4+ years is what we have in mind
  • Proven experience leveraging both qualitative and quantitative research to drive product and/or organisational change
  • You have helped ship products and sites that solve real problems, and that people use, with strong case studies and research artefacts to back it up
  • Proven experience in spotting research opportunities across various parts of the product life cycle and defining the best approach to carry it out
  • You have experience leading and managing the end-to-end user research process and communicating progress and results to teams
  • Experience with setting up and analysing the results of unmoderated usability testing studies
  • Experience with setting up and managing research repositories
  • You have strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate your thinking, the desire to have your voice heard and the power to persuade others around to your perspective
  • Create evidence-led narratives that bring to life the experience of customers and colleagues, enabling partners to better understand, empathize and engage with their needs and mindsets
  • Experience in planning, executing, and contributing to discovery phases and design sprints
  • Guide and support teams and individuals to help accelerate the adoption of user research within the organisation
  • Help evolve our processes as there is huge scope for change-making
  • Experience working in cross-disciplinary teams

Desirable

  • Experience in pre-sale activities

What's in it for you

  • The projects are various, which gives you a lot of new experience and challenges. We work with start-ups, scale-ups and enterprise clients across industries
  • Clear growth and progression planning along individual contributor or manager paths through a team talent matrix
  • Support and close collaboration with a cross-discipline team of Design, UX & Product practitioners
  • Flexible working policy (work from home or in the office as you like)
  • Travel opportunities across Europe
  • Private healthcare
  • Competitive salary depending on your skills and experience.
  • Oversee the incorporation of research findings into the product, thanks to close collaboration with the product and development team
  • Constant development of your skills with the help of a knowledgeable product community: knowledge-sharing events and mentorship practices
  • Regular support of your design leader and mentor
  • Individual career path based on your personal development goals
  • Partial to full cost coverage of educational events, materials and certifications
  • Meeting professionals from different fields and countries to continue building your expertise and network
