Overview of Senior Warehouse Supervisor
We are seeking an experienced Senior Warehouse Supervisor to oversee one of our clients fast-paced warehouse.
Based in North, Liverpool.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse setting, demonstrating proficiency in pick packing operations and a knack for thriving in high-pressure environments.
The role demands strong leadership, exceptional organizational skills, and a proactive approach to ensure efficient and accurate order fulfilment.
Responsibilities of the Senior Warehouse Supervisor
- Manage and lead a team of pick packers, ensuring adherence to schedules and productivity targets.
- Train, mentor, and motivate warehouse staff to maintain high levels of performance and accuracy in pick packing procedures.
- Coordinate daily activities, prioritize tasks, and allocate resources effectively to meet shipping deadlines.
- Oversee inventory control and ensure accurate stock levels through regular cycle counts and reconciliation.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and optimize workflow efficiency.
- Resolve any operational issues promptly to minimize disruptions in the pick packing process.
- Maintain documentation and records related to inventory, orders, and operational procedures.
- Evaluate staff performance, provide feedback, and conduct regular performance reviews.
RequirementsSenior Warehouse Supervisor
- Minimum 3 years of experience in warehouse operations with a focus on pick packing, ideally in a supervisory capacity.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and familiarity with inventory control software.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to handle a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring accuracy in order fulfilment.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and a proactive approach to implementing and maintaining safety standards.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and resolve issues efficiently.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle pressure while meeting tight deadlines.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in warehouse management or logistics is a plus.
