Windows Endpoint Security Engineer
12 month Contract - Glasgow
Inside IR35 PAYE £600-650 per day
FPSG has exciting opportunities for high-performing Endpoint Security Engineer to join an exciting, dynamic team, who focus on enhancing or building next generation Cyber Security Solutions. The organization can offer a range of diverse, enterprise projects, where the focus is on bringing innovation to market leading solutions.
As an Infrastructure Security Engineer, you will work on architecting, engineering, deploying and operating technical security controls and capabilities across the global Enterprise. You will require a blend of advanced Windows Endpoint experience, advanced Windows Environment experience and extensive scripting skills; PowerShell, Python etc.
As a Windows Security Engineer your responsibilities will include:
- Contributing to a Global cross-disciplined team working towards DevOps practices within Endpoint Security frameworks.
- Championing and embedding Windows Infrastructure/Security knowledge and experience (both on-prem and cloud).
- Contribute collectively and individually to analytical problem-solving on diverse Enterprise Security matters.
- Taking responsibility for continuous improvement (learn new skills, languages, utilities, and techniques as required).
- Leading and partaking in methods such as peer review, retrospectives, and refactoring.
To be a successful Windows Security Engineer you will need:
- Advanced knowledge and multi-year hands on experience of Enterprise Infrastructure Security projects.
- Demonstrable exposure to Windows Endpoint (Internals and Automation) environments of 50,000+ Endpoints.
- A proven ability to Design, Engineering and Architect new solutions from 'Proof of Concept' through to live Production.
- A track record in troubleshooting complex business critical Windows environments.
- Excellent scripting skills such as PowerShell, Python etc.
- Exposure to Disk Encryption and Hardening Operating Systems.
- Highly desirable to have working knowledge of Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Cloud Apps, Microsoft E5 security product set.
Offices are based in Central Glasgow and to ensure collaborative agile approaches circa 2 or 3 days a week in the office. Hence residing or relocating to a commutable distance is required.
Reward
This assignment is for 12 months, although likely a 2-year engagement. Day rates are PAYE with a fully paid holiday entitlement, the rate will depend on experience. (Comparable to £130k+ per year)
