Senior/Quantity Surveyor

Senior/Quantity Surveyor required for privately owned contractor that work regionally/nationwide on new build/refurb projects in the warehouse/distribution industry for end user clients that are within the food/beverage and pharmaceutical sectors. Schemes are negotiated rather than on a competitive tender basis and generally are steel portal frame projects ranging in value from £5-£20 Million. Main duties will be to manage all commercial matters for multiple projects across the UK and predominately will involve procurement of subcontract packages involving recommendations on value for money against budget, subcontract account management, valuations/variations, subcontract payments, final accounts as well as compilation of CVR's for clients at progress meetings and risk mitigation. Role will involve be a combination of being office based as well as travelling and attending site when required for client/subcontractor meetings so the flexibility to travel will be essential. Main contractor experience working on new build portal frame projects would be a preferential requirement but not essential
