Role Overview
As an SEO Manager, you'll be at the forefront of the agencies mission to elevate the online presence of their clients. From developing and implementing SEO strategies to overseeing day-to-day operations, you'll play a pivotal role in driving success for our clients and the agency. This person will be the SEO specialist for the agency so whilst there is no line management required at this point in time you will have full autonomy over the SEO function and your day to day. This person will report directly into the Managing Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and optimise SEO strategies for a diverse portfolio of eCommerce clients.
- Monitor and analyse client's website performance, identifying areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate SEO best practices into content creation and web development.
- Provide insightful reports and recommendations to clients based on performance metrics.
- You will take ownership of the agencies SEO and be the main point of contact for clients.
- Build a great relationship with clients and enquire about their goals and expectations
- Look for growth opportunities in the SEO landscape
- Perform SEO audits for clients to upsell and assist in pitches.
- Use Webmaster tools to interrogate keyword and placement reports
Requirements
- A solid background of SEO experience (technical focused rather than entirely content)
- The ability to communicate efficiently and manage senior client stakeholders both verbally and written
- Experience with tools such as SEMRush and Ahrefs
- You're a self-starter who has the ability to work autonomously
- Collaborative team player
Goals of the role
- The immediate primary focus is to win some SEO management business through upselling to existing clients. You will have a portfolio of current clients that require servicing alongside this.
- You aren't expected to be the salesperson of the agency by hunting down leads and cold calling, but you will need to build SEO into the agencies ongoing client growth strategy.
