This role is fixed term until 31/3/2025.
The post holders will work directly with young people in their communities as well as identified children in Year 5 and 6 or primary school to support them to:
- Be better informed about serious violence (as well as broader criminality) and its associated risks.
- Feel safer in the public spaces they occupy.
- Re-engage with their communities.
- Build rapport and develop relationships with trusted adults in their local community.
- Improve their health resilience and wellbeing.
- Develop their social and emotional skills, increasing their ability to cope with aspects of everyday life.
Full time and part time positions are available.
Training will be in areas such as motivational interviewing and trauma informed practice, alongside other opportunities for continued professional development in a supportive and compassionate team with a great sense of community.
The two posts consist of one full time (37 hours) and one part time (18.5 hours) vacancy and will require some work to take place in the evenings and potentially occasional weekends. Both roles are fixed term until March 2025. Interviews to take place on Tuesday 5th March.
