Server Team Analyst

Job Description We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Server Team Analyst to support and work closely in a busy but rewarding technical environment. This is an exciting time to join Bath Spa University IT Services as we embark upon an exciting journey along our technology roadmap focused on supporting Bath Spa’s strategic goals. About the Role You will provide specialist technical knowledge for platform services to meet the needs of the University, this includes the maintenance and development of platform services activity, upgrades, software, and hardware. You will assist and work closely with neighbouring teams in the migration to, and adoption of, Microsoft cloud technologies and help support implementation of new services as well as upgrades and fixes to meet critical deadlines and ensure integrity and consistency of the service, software, and hardware to influence organisational transformation. In addition, you will build and establish contacts and networks to ensure effective communication and engagement with key stakeholders, internal and external staff, suppliers, and industry specialists. About You You will have an In-depth knowledge and understanding of server software and hardware, as well as online services such as SaaS, IaaS and PaaS and BaaS. You will possess strong problem solving and analytical skills and be an effective communicator, showing the ability to pass on information to a wide range of specialists and non-specialists. In addition, you will be able to lead and manage people and resources successfully to meet organisational performance standards. You will show the ability to prioritise a busy workload and meet tight deadlines, and be able to demonstrate the ability to apply specialist technical theory and conceptual information to practical service-based situations.
