Service Charge Accountant

Goodman Masson are excited to be partnered with a medium sized housing association on their search for a Service Charge Accountant!

What is the role?

Main responsibilities:

• Analysing and reconciling Service Charge income and expenses
• Maintaining accurate records of Service Charge transactions
• Collaborating with property managers to ensure timely and accurate billing of Service Charges
• Reviewing lease agreements to determine applicable Service Charge allocations
• Calculating Service Charge budgets based on property expenses and projected costs
• Conducting regular audits of Service Charge accounts to identify discrepancies or errors
• Providing financial reports and analysis related to Service Charge income and expenses
• Communicating with tenants regarding Service Charge inquiries and disputes
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Assisting in the preparation of annual Service Charge budgets and forecasts
• Participating in meetings with property management teams to discuss Service Charge issues and strategies for improvement

This role is offering a salary of circa £35,000 per annum, with heavily remote working in the Bradford office.

What do you need to succeed?

• AAT qual/ AAT finalist
• Experience in Management Accounts dealing with balance sheets, recs, variances
• Housing background is desirable
