SERVICE CHARGE ACCOUNTANT
£23,000 PA
FULL TIME, PERMANENT
NG1, NOTTINGHAM CITY CENTRE
SF Recruitment are currently recruiting a Service Charge Accountant to join their client on a permanent basis from their central division. Our client is a well respected and people focused business, they offer a fantastic customer experience and are keen to recruit a driven and hard working candidate into their team.
Key duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepare account packs to send to auditors
- Prepare trial balance reports
- Answer audit queries
- Maintain the Service Charge year-end tracking systems (INVU)
- Resolve any pre audit queries with the Property Managers / Facilities Manager
- Chase auditors for any outstanding accounts and agreeing draft accounts with Property Managers
- Prepare VAT checks when applicable
- Prepare quarterly client statements and reports
- Assist Property Management Team with the quarterly forecasting and annual Service Charge budget processes.
- Coordinate the year end accounts processes and ensure that Service Charge accounts are certified, and packs are issued within 4 months of the Service Charge year end
- Identify any areas within existing processes, which could be improved and discuss these with Line Manager as appropriate
- Regular Service Charge meetings with Property/ Facilities Managers
- Attend client Service Charge meetings if required.
This opportunity would be most suited to a candidate who has just graduated and looking for a step into a busy, fast paced accounts department within a great organisation. Essential skills include Strong MS Excel experience, excellent attention to detail, proven ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment, strong communication skills, ideally proven accounts experience within a similar environment or a relevant Accounts related qualification.
