Service Delivery Manager | Project Management | 3rd parties
You can work from home and go onsite 1 or 2 days a week.
My client based in Reading are looking to recruit an IT Service Manager you will work within an internal team and be the person accountable for IT, this will include:
- Service Delivery
- Project management
- Strategy
- Managing budget
- Managing suppliers
The role includes:
- Ensuring appropriate processes are deployed to support delivery of our services, identifying opportunities for process efficiencies and service enhancement.
- Ensuring appropriate supporting systems are deployed to support the key processes: identifying requirements, development opportunities and solutions; working to create informed business cases with robust appraisal of investment opportunities.
- Supporting delivery of IT strategy that incorporates the key aims and needs of the business.
- Project managing the delivery of IT and broader Operations projects.
- Bridging the gap between technical experts and internal stakeholders
- Assuming “service owner” responsibilities for outsourced services in accordance with contractual arrangements and agreed SLAs.
- Ensuring compliance with Group-wide operational policies, including for example, Health & Safety (e.g., DSE and broader policies), GDPR, records retention.
- Promoting a culture of continuous improvement, proactively seeking out areas for automation and innovation to enhance operational efficiency.
- Staying current on emerging technologies and trends to inform compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
The person:
- A passion for driving results and improving performance.
- Experience in stakeholder engagement and good communication and influencing skills.
- Experience in supporting the delivery of an IT strategy.
- Solid understanding of core Project Management principles, including benefits realisation and change management.
- Expertise in IT systems project delivery .
- Experience of systems appraisal and selection processes.
- Experience of supplier contract management, of ensuring outsourced providers of systems and technical expertise are managed in accordance with agreed SLAs.
- A solid understanding of IT and data security best practice and compliance standards .
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to simplify unnecessary complexity, using business analysis and process improvement techniques.
- Good data analysis skills, with an ability to assimilate and analyse data to inform decision-making.
- Good commercial awareness and financial literacy.
