Position Overview:
It is currently seeking a skilled and proactive Service Desk Operator with specialized experience in Linux and network systems. As a pivotal member of the IT support team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of company systems, providing technical assistance to both internal staff and external clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to incoming Service Desk inquiries promptly and efficiently, resolving technical issues related to Linux systems and network infrastructure.
- Provide expert guidance and support on Linux-based software, installations, configurations, and troubleshooting.
- Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues, ensuring smooth operations and minimal downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to escalate and resolve complex technical problems efficiently.
- Document all Service Desk interactions, troubleshooting steps, and solutions for future reference.
Qualifications and Skills:
Proven experience as a Service Desk Operator or similar role, preferably within a Linux-based environment.
In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Linux operating network systems.
Strong understanding of networking protocols
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional communication skills and a customer-centric approach to providing technical support.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ideally a familiarity with scripting languages (Bash, Python, etc.) for automation and system administration tasks.
