Service Engineer

Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Mechanical Engineer required to join a leading, global manufacturer within the natural gas industry.
The Successful Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Mechanical Engineer will provide electrical and mechanical repair, service, maintenance, commissioning and technical onsite support for various rotating equipment / electro mechanical products in the natural gas industry including pneumatics, odorization systems, lubrication systems, oil pressure & liquid sampling systems and more at customer sites UK wide.
 
The Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Mechanical Engineer will ideally have a hands on service background in rotating equipment, pneumatics, electric motors, pumps, valves, instrumentation or similar electromechanical products. Full product training provided.

Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Mechanical Engineer Role
To provide electrical and mechanical repair, service and maintenance of rotating equipment / electro mechanical products in the natural gas industry including pneumatics,  odorization systems, lubrication systems, oil pressure & liquid sampling systems and more at customer sites UK wide.
Commissioning and installation of new hydraulic & pneumatic equipment on customer sites in compliance with industry best practices.
Installing various natural gas systems into all forms of the manufacturing industry.
Perform emergency breakdown, fault finding and repairs on various rotating equipment including pneumatics, hydraulics and electromechanical equipment associated with natural gas products.
Identifying and providing the customer with improvements, upgrades, or general aftercare of natural gas and odorant products and services.
Fully remote role, field based covering UK wide, staying away when required.
Liaise with various engineering departments.
 
Field Service Engineer / Service Technician / Mechanical Engineer Requirements
Proven diagnostic skills on complicated electrical and mechanical engineering systems.
Experience as a Field Service Engineer, Service Engineer,  Service Technician, Installation Engineer, Workshop Engineer, Electromechanical Engineer, M&E Engineer or similar within rotating equipment.
The ability in maintaining good professional working relationships with existing and new customers.
Strong troubleshooting skills, with hands-on experience in diagnosing and resolving faults in electromechanical instrumentation, controls, panels, pneumatic systems is advantageous
Ability to understand and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, able to advise clients on the drawings and specifications.
Hands on Service background in rotating equipment, pneumatics, electric motors, pumps, valves, instrumentation, or similar electromechanical products. Full product training provided.  
A technical engineering degree, qualification, apprentice trained in mechanical engineering, HNC, HND or Degree would be advantageous.
Full UK driving license.
Willingness to travel UK wide and stay away when required.
