Maintenance Engineer

Maintenance Engineer vacancy in manufacturing company based in Dunstable.

12h shifts rotating on days and nights.

Main Task:

· To carry out repairs and general maintenance

· Logging and reporting all technical faults and arranging all equipment fixtures and fittings.

· To set up cutting/processing/grinding/toughening/tempering machines when they are at fault.

· To carry out a planned maintenance of water filtration systems.

· To assemble and disassemble gearbox and motors in order to replace worn bearings or pump seals.

· To find fault mechanical parts on machines by means of sound vibration, sight and background knowledge.

· To attend to break-downs and planned maintenance of all production machines.

· To work within the scope of current Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and ensure awareness of fire safety procedures.

· Other duties which may be appropriate to ensure the smooth running of the department and the quality of maintenance service provided.
