Role: Maintenance Engineer

Location: Bedfordshire

Shifts: Monday to Friday (Double Days/Earlies + Lates)

Salary: £46,000 + Overtime

Benefits: Holiday + Overtime + Training + Internal Progression + Pension

The Company:

A leading manufacturing business are currently looking to add a Maintenance Engineer to their highly skilled Engineering team that has been steady for over 40 years at this site. This business always look to promote from within the business at the first instance which is why this position has become available, due to internal promotion they currently have a need within their tight knit Engineering team.

The Engineering Manager at this site brought about serious transformational change which has given a new lease of life to the machinery with a very strong Planned Maintenance system and various upgrades of the kit.

The Role:

The role of Maintenance Engineer will include the following:

• Reactive and Planned Maintenance on all the production machinery on site 
• Continuous Improvement Projects across the machinery and facilities of the site
• Electrical Fault Finding using drawings to aid in tracing the issues
• Swapping like for like on: Sensors, Relays, Contactors, 3 Phase Motors
• Mechanically working with: Bearings, Belts, Rollers, Gearboxes, Shafts
• Working alone and within a team of Engineers
• Working a on call rota (Call out very rare due to strong planned system)

The Candidate:

The right candidate for the role of Maintenance Engineer will have/possess:

• A recognised Engineering qualification
• Experience working in a factory environment with electrical systems
• Confident Fault Finding with the ability to read drawings
• Happy working alone and within a team of engineers
• Have a pro-active approach to Maintenance looking to solve problems before they arise
