An exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Engineer has arisen with a leading FMCG company in Bedford. The successful candidate will oversee all maintenance activities across the food and beverage production facility.
Responsibilities:
- Managing all maintenance activities including preventative and breakdown maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems
- Optimizing PPM schedules and improving equipment uptime
- Troubleshooting and repairing breakdowns across processing and packaging equipment
- Coordinating with production teams to minimize downtime during maintenance
- Developing and implementing maintenance improvement projects
- Managing parts inventory and maintenance supplies
- Leading a team of skilled maintenance technicians
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer within an FMCG environment is ideal
- Strong electro-mechanical bias with ability to fault find on food production machinery
- Excellent understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and refrigeration systems
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to preventative maintenance
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics
We offer a competitive salary of £40,000 and a 3 shift pattern with earlies, lates, and nights on an 8 hour shift rotation.
