Position: Maintenance Engineer
Salary: £42,000 - £45,000
Location: Luton
Proactive currently have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer to begin work for a leading manufacturing and production business in Luton.
Due to rapid company expansion and an ever growing order book, our client is hoping to recruit at least one additional Maintenance Engineer to help ensure the quality and accuracy of the factory's function is well maintained throughout this new and excited influx of work.
Key Responsibilities for the Maintenance Engineer:
- Conduct regular maintenance and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment within our state-of-the-art food production facility.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, implementing effective solutions to ensure seamless operations.
- Perform preventive maintenance, ensuring equipment reliability and longevity.
- Adhere to safety protocols and conduct safety checks, maintaining a secure work environment.
- Collaborate closely with the maintenance team, ensuring all equipment is operational and efficient.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests, minimizing production downtime.
- Uphold company policies, procedures, and quality standards to maintain our exceptional reputation.
Requirements for the Maintenance Engineer:
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer in food production or manufacturing.
- ONC/HNC or equivalent recognized apprenticeship in electrical and/or mechanical engineering.
- Proficiency in pneumatics; knowledge of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) is advantageous.
- Relevant technical qualifications in electrical engineering or related field.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Dedication to workplace safety and adherence to safety guidelines.
