The Best Connection Bedford are recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer for their prestigious client based just 14 miles outside of Bedford to join their team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable established company and is offered with the following working hours:
Monday- Friday week one 6am-2pm week two 2pm -10pm rotating with a salary of circa £45,500 pa.
Responsibilities of the Maintenance Engineer:
- Maintain and service all production machinery in accordance with the manufacturers OEMs.
- Provide front line engineering support and execute daily and pre-planned maintenance checks.
- Complete a breakdown/fault log on a daily basis and liaise with cell leaders to provide daily engineering support.
- Ensure the TDI monitoring system is operating safely at all times
- Monitoring engineering stock usage, order spares and participate in continuous improvement programmes
- Adhere to Health, Safety and Environmental procedures at all times, reporting and resolving issues
- To provide an out of hours call-out service
- Carry out any other duties the management team will reasonable require.
Requirements of the Maintenance Engineer:
- Must hold a minimum of a level 3 NVQ qualification in electrical and/or mechanical engineering
- Electrical ability -18th Edition qualification desirable
- Demonstrable experience of carrying out electrical and mechanical PPM/DPM checks
- Strong attention to detail, fully conversant with EHS rules,regulations and best practise
- Ability to prioritise workload and concisely record information
- Previous experience in the role of Maintenance Engineer essential
- Excellent team player with a can-do attitude.
